Who do you pray for?

I’m a bit hopeless when it comes to lists.

But I do have a vague idea of the people I would like to pray for regularly.

Somehow, I tend to pray most for those people who are most in need of God’s help, those who are weakest, those with unrealised potential, etc.

Then I read Psalm 72.

Surely, a response to Psalm 72 has to include praying for the Lord Jesus Christ. Not someone I had thought of putting on my prayer list before.

May he rule with complete justice.
May the righteous flourish under his rule.
May his dominion extend to every corner of the globe, including the desert tribes.
May he live long.
May the land prosper under his rule.
And may all nations call him “blessed”.
