I could be misconstrued as Binitarian

I could be misconstrued as Binitarian in my recent entry on the Independent “Good List”.

Just to clarify: I’m not… I believe in the Triune God who is one God yet three Persons.

I said that a list of good people comprising only God would be a list with two entries. The Holy Spirit is, of course, also good. Otherwise the Spirit would not be divine (lacking one attribute, all of which are essential).

I said “two” rather than “three” because the setting was Mark 10, where the rich man discusses with Jesus who can legitimately be called “good”. Whilst Mark does teach us about the Spirit, He is not referred to in that particular discourse.

There – a slightly laboured defence, but I didn’t want anyone getting the wrong idea!
