The church in OT times

I’m sure Mark Horne is right in his post Israel was not (all of) the Church over at the new Biblical Horizons Blog.

It’s not a long post, so I won’t summarise it – I’d do it a dis-service. Just go and read it.

I’ve done a bit of thinking myself a few years back on salvation in Old Testament times, and I want to go away and work through the implications of what Mark has written. Specifically, Gentiles could be saved in OT times, but that without us having to say Nulla salus extra Israel, as it were.
