I sadly just lost Swype after I presume at least 10 years of use. I upgraded to a newer Samsung galaxy from an Oppo and as with all previous new phones, Swype initially downloaded and worked as normal, but am update to a newer version of Android after a couple of days rendered Swype completely dead, with a message saying it isn't compatible with this version of Android.

I've already contemplated factory resetting the phone and not installing the Android update, but sooner rather than later I'm going to have to learn to use a new keyboard so it might as well be now.

I most miss the swyping apostrophes into words and the one tap word delete. I'm genuinely puzzled as to how that can't be a straightforward keyboard option.

As for the apostrophes, I've actually resorted to using an English (PC) keyboard, which has the "button" on the top layer so can be swyped into words again. Even just tried it with Hallowe'en and it worked so that's a good sign! Now I just have to find a way to make it auto capitalise a single letter i
